In this unit, using the industry standard software maya, i was givein the chance to learn how to model an object in 3d space. This involed learning how to work and manipulate polygonal objects in the XYZ dimensions.
I was also taught how to structure topology in a way that enables quaratic subdivisional modelling. Once the object was built and refied using the box-modelling technique, i was shown how to ues the diffrent application of materials and how to use indirect global illumination to create a realistic looking model.
the task was to create a 3D spaceship modelled in a realistic manner as possible.
As you see in the first image, i was trying out diffrent tecnquies and other tools that maya applied. not only did i want to test out the difffrent polygons but i also practiced morthing the polygon shapes with the diffrent tools that were provided.
